Walk through the streets of downtown Austin where some of your favorite movies were filmed and learn fascinating trivia about Austin's film industry and history

We cover movies from the 1970s-2023 including: the Spy Kids series, Miss Congeniality, Alita: Battle Angel, Sin City, Machete, Temple Grandin, Blood Simple, Boyhood, Chef, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and more!

We cover well known actors and directors such as Matthew McConaughey, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Clint Eastwood, Richard Linklater, Robert Rodriguez, the Coen Brothers, and more!

Tour Details:

  • Duration: 1 hour 45 min to 2 hours (depending on group size)

  • Route Length: about 1.8 miles, city terrain

  • Starting Point: The Texas Capitol front main gate (outside the capitol grounds). This is at the 11th street and Congress Avenue intersection. Look for the guide with the red umbrella.

  • End Point: Willie Nelson Statue at 310 West 2nd Street

  • Parking/Bus/Bike: Options will be provided before the tour. Plan about 10-15 minutes to walk from your parking spot to the tour starting point.

What to Bring:

  • Please bring water!

  • Comfortable walking shoes.

  • Sunscreen, a hat, and/or an umbrella.

Weather: Severe thunderstorms can lead to tour cancellation. We will let you know as soon as possible if a tour is cancelled and work to get you rebooked or refunded.

 

Refund Policy: Cancellations or changes are allowed up to 48 hours before your tour for your choice of a full refund or a voucher for a future booking of equal price. If we cancel for any reason (such as weather) you will receive a full refund.
